Hi, I’m Dawn –
The One-Woman Show Behind Gel With Us
When I say “About Us,” well, it’s really just me behind the curtain here at Gel With Us. A nutritionist-turned-nail-wrap-enthusiast, I’m as comfortable wielding a paintbrush as I am perfecting a topcoat!
Now, stepping out of my comfort zone? That’s a work in progress! Case in point: check out this awkward headshot you see here? Yup, that’s me embracing the awkwardness and setting an example by diving headfirst into this adventure. There waaaay outside of your comfort zone is where the fun (and sometimes hilarity) happens!
The Personality Behind the Brand
With a wry sense of humour, or so I’m told, an obsession for organisation, stationary, and a love for all things DIY, I’ve poured my heart (and a bit of my quirkiness) into Gel With Us. It’s my mission to make DIY nails fun, fabulous, and totally you.
Why Nail Wraps?
As a lifelong nail biter who dreaded salon small talk, I found my perfect match in nail wraps—quick, easy, and totally commitment-free. Thanks to nail wraps, my nails are longer than they have ever been, I have so much fun with different designs and I can go on holiday without stressing if my gel or tips are going to come off.
To the side are some disembodied pictures of my thumb. The ones with the pink background are just after I stopped getting salon gel nails. You will notice the nail is stained and it would tear down, not accross. The picture with the white background is a mere 4 months later. The nail is a much healthier colour, super strong and the nail bed is looking so pink and healthy.
So, in 3 weird little pictures – that’s why nail wraps.
Breaking the Rules, One Nail at a Time
As someone who loves—scratch that, needs—rules, I’ve realized that there can be such a thing as too many, especially when it comes to how harsh we can be on ourselves. I used to stick to French tips and nudes only, but discovering fun and funky nail wraps was liberating. Now, here I am, rocking not just one pattern, but multiple patterns on one hand… and I’m absolutely LOVING IT!
Also, thanks to these nail polish wraps, my nails are getting so strong that I don’t even need to rely on gel wraps for strength anymore.
Keeping It Real
Let’s be real—perfection is overrated. I’ve personally let go of the chase for it and embraced the freedom that comes with just being myself. These nail wraps aren’t about achieving some impossible standard—they’re about making life a little easier, a little more fun, and helping me express my style without the pressure of “perfect.” I’ve grown to love them for how they’ve helped me take that step, and I believe like-minded women will love the freedom and fun they bring too. It’s not about flawless nails—it’s about embracing your unique style and feeling fabulous!
