Gel Base Coat

Gel Base Coat

Our high-viscosity base coat is thick, slow-moving, and wonderfully forgiving. It takes a little longer to self-level and spread, giving you time to perfect your placement without rushing or flooding your cuticles. Designed to create a strong, grippy foundation for your gels or wraps, it’s your secret to longer-lasting, smoother manis.

Application

Prep: Push back your cuticles and gently remove any cuticle from the nail plate. Lightly buff the surface to remove the shine, then wipe with alcohol or a nail cleanser to remove dust and oils. Let the nail dry completely.

Apply one thin layer: Brush a thin layer over the nail, working it into the surface for good grip. Keep it off the skin and cuticle, and cap the free edge.

Cure: Cure under a UV/LED lamp for 60 seconds.

Continue: Don't wipe the tacky layer. Go straight on with your colour gel.

Tip: This base is high viscosity and levels slowly, so there's no need to rush. You have time to perfect your placement and keep it away from your cuticles, which makes it ideal if you're still learning.

Please note: this base coat is not recommended for use with gel wraps.

A thick layer might seem tempting but can lead to under-curing or lifting.
